Jim Burleigh brings more than 22 years of software experience to Cloud9 from a broad range of disciplines: CRM, supply chain, database, and tools technologies. As CEO of SmartTurn, and a senior executive at RedPrairie, Navis and salesforce.com, Jim has a strong record of achievement as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) executive, strategist, and entrepreneur.
Prior to Cloud9, Jim was CEO of SmartTurn, the leading SaaS Warehouse and Inventory Management solution. He founded SmartTurn as a Navis subsidiary in 2004, then spun it into an independent entity. SmartTurn was sold to RedPrairie in 2010, where Jim served as Sr. VP of the On Demand Group until joining Cloud9.
Previously, as Sr. VP of Marketing and Corporate Development at Navis, a leader in the supply chain execution industry, he ran sales, marketing, and product management. He also was responsible for acquisitions.
Earlier in his career Jim worked in sales, marketing and technical roles at salesforce.com, Remedy, BayStone Software, and Oracle Corporation. Notably, Jim was an early member of Salesforce.com, the most successful on demand service to date, where he was the #6 employee. At Salesforce.com he served first as Vice President Business Development, then Vice President Marketing and Product Management.
Jim earned a B.S. degree in Engineering and Applied Science from the California Institute of Technology.
Over a 23 year career, Scott Wiener has repeatedly founded successful companies at the forefront of new technological waves, such as document processing (Ann Arbor Softworks, acquired by Ashton-Tate), collaborative systems (Common Knowledge, acquired by CESoftware), semantic search (Relevance Technologies, acquired by Documentum), and now Cloud9 Analytics.
Combining a strong technical perspective with hands-on operating experience in both venture funded and public technology companies, Scott is the visionary behind Cloud9′s “data warehouse in the sky,” the industry’s first truly on-demand analytics platform.
Scott is a pragmatic, business-oriented technology leader and has a proven track record of developing innovative and differentiated technologies that provide immediate economic value to customers and strategic value to partners.
Scott has been an advisor to companies such as Apple, Frame, Be, Excite, Tumbleweed, Fabrik, Banter, RedMojo and TimeBridge.
Serge Massicotte brings more than 20 years of high technology engineering and business management experience to Cloud9. Throughout his career he has demonstrated a passion and commitment for developing software-as-a-service platforms that solve critical business challenges.
Most recently, Serge served as vice president and general manager of development at talent management software provider Taleo, where he headed strategy for the company’s enterprise platform. At Taleo Serge was instrumental in growing Taleo’s solutions from a single product for managing Recruiting activities to a best-in-class Talent Management suite built on top of a robust SaaS platform. As a result of these efforts, revenue from enterprise platform products increased by 200% during Serge’s tenure at Taleo. The suite is now used by more than half of Fortune 100 companies and contains more than 100M candidates in its network. Taleo has recently been acquired by Oracle for $1.9B.
Prior to Taleo, Serge held executive positions at supply chain management company RedPrairie, where he was responsible for managing the company’s Canadian product team, and at GEOCOMtms, where he was executive director for research and development prior to the company’s acquisition by RedPrairie. Earlier in his career, Serge served as director of supply chain optimization engine at enterprise resource planning software company, Baan, before the company’s acquisition by Invensys.
Serge has earned multiple bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science and mathematics from the University of York in the United Kingdom and Universite Laval in Canada.
With more than 20 years of expertise in sales operations and customer service, Tania Goldszmidt leads Cloud9’s global customer support, adoption, training and retention programs. Her team oversees all user interactions, from initial training during deployment, to ongoing education and advanced support, to community events including Cloud9’s annual Customer Summit.
Most recently, Tania led Cisco’s UMI Cloud Services Operations for the consumer TelePresence product line, where she also participated in the company’s Consumer Operations Board as the cloud services and data center lead. During the course of her career, Tania has overseen a number of programs designed to drive user satisfaction, best practices and increase customer communities at companies including Oracle, Siebel Systems and Salesforce.com.
Tania also has spent time as a strategic adviser on software, business and sales operations, process improvement and systems enablement to a variety of firms including Rearden Commerce, Sana Security and Six Apart.
Tania holds an electrical engineering degree from the Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Bolívar in Caracas, Venezuela, and a master’s degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Mike Rossi brings more than 20 years experience to Cloud9 Analytics in enterprise Business Intelligence (BI implementations). As Cloud9’s Area Vice President of Field Technology, Mike is responsible for all pre- and post-sales activities including service and support, configuration, and professional services.
Prior to Cloud9, Mike held a number of consulting positions with leading systems integration providers, specializing in enterprise BI deployments. As Principal Consultant and BI Practice Director at LPA Systems, Mike was responsible for growing the BI practice with full P&L responsibility, focusing on large Cognos OEM implementation projects. Before LPA Systems, Mike was President of Information Analysts Group, a start-up consulting firm specializing in Cognos BI solutions.
Mike started his career at Sybron where he was responsible for custom financial and sales applications. Mike holds a BS in Business Management from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.
