Jim Burleigh brings more than 22 years of software experience to Cloud9 from a broad range of disciplines, including CRM, supply chain, database and tools technologies. As CEO of SmartTurn, and a senior executive at RedPrairie, Navis and salesforce.com, Jim has a strong record of achievement as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) executive, strategist and entrepreneur.
Prior to Cloud9, Jim was CEO of SmartTurn, the leading SaaS Warehouse and Inventory Management solution. He founded SmartTurn as a Navis subsidiary in 2004, then spun SmartTurn into an independent entity in 2007 with the backing of New Enterprise Associates and Emergence Capital. SmartTurn was sold to RedPrairie in 2010, where Jim served as Sr. VP of the On Demand Group until joining Cloud9.
Previously, as Sr. VP of Marketing and Corporate Development at Navis, a leader in the supply chain execution industry, he was responsible for Navis’ overall sales, marketing and product management, as well as business development, acquisitions, and development, marketing and sales of new ventures.
Jim’s background includes sales, marketing and technical experience at salesforce.com, Remedy, BayStone Software, and Oracle Corporation. Notably, Jim was an early member of salesforce.com, the most successful on demand service to date, where he was the #6 employee, and served as Vice President Business Development, then Vice President Marketing and Product Management.
Jim earned a BS degree in Engineering and Applied Science from the California Institute of Technology.
Swayne Hill brings to Cloud9 Analytics more than 15 years executive experience in the Business Intelligence, Analytics and Performance Management markets. He has a proven record of driving the success of high-growth organizations both domestically and internationally.
Swayne’s extensive experience leading sales teams gives him firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing Cloud9 customers and the need for solutions that unlock the value of BI for everyone.
Prior to joining Cloud9 Analytics, Swayne served as Managing Director in the Asia Pacific region at Cognos, the global leader in Business Intelligence and Performance Management. During a three-year tenure in Asia Pacific, Swayne increased his regional revenue 100% by creating a high performance sales culture and accelerating the integration of newly acquired companies. This accelerated integration model became the blueprint for success and was quickly implemented by Cognos across the globe.
Swayne also led the North American partner channel for Cognos – direct mid-market, VARs and OEMs. His innovations in this area led the introduction of major software releases and became the benchmark for sales process success in the company. Swayne holds a Bachelors degree in economics from the University of Toronto.
Over a 23 year career, Scott Wiener has repeatedly founded successful companies at the forefront of new technological waves, such as document processing (Ann Arbor Softworks, acquired by Ashton-Tate), collaborative systems (Common Knowledge, acquired by CESoftware), semantic search (Relevance Technologies, acquired by Documentum), and now Cloud9 Analytics.
Combining a strong technical perspective with hands-on operating experience in both venture funded and public technology companies, Scott is the visionary behind Cloud9′s “data warehouse in the sky,” the industry’s first truly on-demand analytics platform.
Scott is a pragmatic, business-oriented technology leader and has a proven track record of developing innovative and differentiated technologies that provide immediate economic value to customers and strategic value to partners.
Scott has been an advisor to companies such as Apple, Frame, Be, Excite, Tumbleweed, Fabrik, Banter, RedMojo and TimeBridge.
Tracy Eiler brings more than 25 years of enterprise software marketing experience in sales-driven companies. She runs Cloud9’s global marketing strategy with a focus on demand generation, product marketing, and awareness.
Prior to joining Cloud9, Tracy was the senior vice president of marketing for MarkLogic, where she managed all aspects of marketing strategy and grew the team from a small, tactical organization to a highly productive demand generation engine. Previously, Eiler was vice president of global marketing at SaaS-company Postini, where she created a closed-loop lead-to-sale process that resulted in rapid revenue growth. Before that Eiler spent more than 10 years at business intelligence leader Business Objects, as vice president of corporate marketing, driving global awareness. During that time the company grew from 65M to more than 1B in revenue. Eiler has a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Stephan DeRodeff brings over 25 years of high technology engineering and business management experience to Cloud9 Analytics. His expertise and commitment to product quality drives Cloud9′s delivery of on-demand solutions addressing the needs of all business users.
Most recently, Stephan was Chief Technology Officer at Bridgeway Systems, where he led the company’s technology strategy and the design of its innovative antenna systems. Prior to Bridgeway, Stephan was Vice President, Broadband Technologies at Covad Communications, where he managed network engineering, architecture and operations for Covad’s nationwide broadband access and VoIP products.
Stephan has led engineering and operations teams for several Bay Area companies including Oracle, where he was Vice President of Product Development and responsible for the creation of a vertical industry organization for Communications and Utilities. While at Oracle, Stephan developed and released multiple products including a Unified Messaging System that provides mobile and Web access to voice, fax and e-mail. Before Oracle, Stephan held several senior technical management positions at USWEST. Stephan holds a patent for a multi-user digital services home gateway and graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
Neil is responsible for managing all current and upcoming Cloud9 Analytics products. Possessed with an uncanny ability to foresee areas of growth, Neil Mendelson has more than 20 years of experience creating product categories and building businesses.
He joined Cloud9 Analytics from Mindjet where he was responsible for its innovative mind-mapping software and its first highly successful sales intelligence application. Neil has also held key executive positions at Business Objects, where he oversaw its $1 billion portfolio, and at Oracle Corp., where he grew the business intelligence and data warehousing products into a $2 billion business.
Neil has lived in five countries and has managed global teams in India, Japan, France, Canada, the Netherlands and Ireland.
For the past 20 years, Tracey Kaufman has devoted her career to representing the voice of the customer. With experience at Fortune 500 and startup companies that span the enterprise software, eCommerce and advertising industries, Tracey brings to Cloud9 a proven track record of passion for customer advocacy, as well as a solid foundation on how to leverage CRM tools to drive desired business outcomes.
During the latter part of her seven-year tenure at Siebel as Director of Customer Experience for Siebel CRM OnDemand, Tracey was the first to establish formal customer advocacy and retention programs that increased customer satisfaction by 60% in only 18 months. More recently, Tracey served as Senior Director of Commerce Solutions at GSI Commerce, where she championed enterprise-wide customer advocacy initiatives and elevated Customer Experience to the top of the corporate priority list, resulting in a 38% improvement in customer satisfaction. Tracey holds a BS degree from Union College.
Mike Rossi brings more than 20 years experience to Cloud9 Analytics in enterprise Business Intelligence (BI implementations). As Cloud9’s Area Vice President of Field Technology, Mike is responsible for all pre- and post-sales activities including service and support, configuration, and professional services.
Prior to Cloud9, Mike held a number of consulting positions with leading systems integration providers, specializing in enterprise BI deployments. As Principal Consultant and BI Practice Director at LPA Systems, Mike was responsible for growing the BI practice with full P&L responsibility, focusing on large Cognos OEM implementation projects. Before LPA Systems, Mike was President of Information Analysts Group, a start-up consulting firm specializing in Cognos BI solutions.
Mike started his career at Sybron where he was responsible for custom financial and sales applications. Mike holds a BS in Business Management from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.
