The Cloud9 Pipeline Accelerator application prioritizes sales opportunities, calculates pipeline coverage, ‘watches’ for changes in the current opportunity pipeline, and connects reps working on similar deals. The Cloud9 Messenger application sends “what’s changed” reports to mobile users to alert them to significant changes in forecast, pipeline, pipeline coverage, and closed/won deals.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Position: Principal Application Engineer/Lead

Location: Cloud9 Analytics, Inc., San Mateo, CA.

Description: As a senior member of the software development team, you will design, develop, test and debug highly scalable and highly available, hosted, web based on-demand analytical applications.

  • Technical lead responsible for architecture, design, and development of the next generation UI for on-demand analytical applications that can perform and scale in a multi-tenant hosted / SaaS environment
  • Participate in an agile development process from analysis of detailed or high-level product requirements through architecture and design, and quick prototyping using interactive demo sessions
  • Analyze, design and develop unit test cases and implement automated test suites
  • Write coherent and intelligent design documentation
  • Responsible for creating a robust and flexible application framework foundation for path-breaking UI’s
  • Work closely with Quality and Release Engineering teams
  • Conceptualize innovative ways of integrating the front end with the middle tier via tight integration, resolving security, reliability, and performance issues

Required Skills:

8 – 10 years experience in developing high-performance analytical /RIA applications (some of which preferably in an on-demand SaaS enabled environment)  

  • Expert knowledge of MVC frameworks such as Struts or Spring MVC
  • Expert knowledge of Java technologies
  • Familiarity with Adobe Flex, ActionScript and MXML
  • Experience building charting and next-generation dashboard components for analytical applications
  • Familiarity with UI/UE design techniques
  • Expertise in with building applications using application servers such as Tomcat, JBOSS or JETTY.
  • Familiarity with browser technologies (XML, XSLT, DHTML, Javascript, JSON, CSS, DOM)
  • Understanding of SQL and object oriented design
  • Proven track record of problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication

Position: Senior Java Engineer

Location: Cloud9 Analytics, Inc., San Mateo, CA.

Description:  As a senior member of the software development team, you will design, develop, test and debug highly scalable and highly available, hosted, web based on-demand analytical applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop web applications that can perform and scale in a multi-tenant hosted / SaaS environment
  • Participate in an agile development process from analysis of detailed or high-level product requirements through architecture and design, and quick prototyping using interactive demo sessions
  • Analyze, design and develop unit test cases and implement automated test suites
  • Leverage bleeding-edge technologies for faster and more efficient web application development
  • Write coherent and intelligent design documentation
  • Work closely with Quality and Release Engineering teams

Required Skills:

7 – 10 years experience in developing high-performance web applications using (some of which preferably in an on-demand SaaS enabled environment)

  • Expert knowledge of building web applications using Java technologies
  • Expert knowledge of browser technologies (XML, XSLT, DHTML, Javascript, JSON, CSS, DOM)
  • Expert knowledge of UI/UE design techniques
  • Familiarity with bleeding-edge, state-of-the-art technologies like Velocity (Template Engine), Tapestry, Hibernate, MySQL
  • Familiarity with build environments like Maven and/or Perforce
  • Familiarity with MVC frameworks like Struts or Spring
  • Desire to work in a highly iterative manner building quick prototypes and seeking feedback in informal demo sessions
  • Understanding of SQL and object oriented design
  • Proven track record of problem solving skills

Position: Senior UI Engineer – Flex Technologies

Location: Cloud9 Analytics, Inc., San Mateo, CA.

Description:  As a senior member of the software development team, you will design, develop, test and debug highly scalable and highly available, hosted, web based on-demand analytical applications.

Responsibilities:

  • UI Evangelist responsible for out-of-the box UI thinking and building the next generation UI for on-demand analytical applications that can perform and scale in a multi-tenant hosted / SaaS environment
  • Responsible for shaping the way the company thinks about the UI and champions the best UE experience for the end-customer
  • Participate in an agile development process from analysis of detailed or high-level product requirements through architecture and design, and quick prototyping using interactive demo sessions
  • Analyze, design and develop unit test cases and implement automated test suites
  • Write coherent and intelligent design documentation
  • Work closely with Quality and Release Engineering teams
Required Skills: 5 – 8 years experience in developing high-performance analytical /RIA applications (some of which preferably in an on-demand SaaS enabled environment)  
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Flex, ActionScript and MXML
  • Experience building charting and next-generation dashboard components for analytical applications or other RIA’s
  • Expert knowledge of UI/UE design techniques

Job Position: Senior Technical Support Engineer

Position Location: Cloud9 Analytics, Inc., San Mateo, CA

Description: Cloud9 Analytics is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer(TSE). The TSE will ensure the success of our customers and partners by effectively resolving cases. This includes: Technical analysis, situation reproduction and work-around recommendations.   Candidate should be independent, self-motivated, results-oriented and exhibit the ability to provide a high level of customer satisfaction through the delivery of world-class technical support services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide problem analysis and resolution to challenging technical questions and suggest appropriate workarounds related to supported applications.
  • Research, document, escalate and manage complex customer-reported requests.
  • Perform root-cause analysis by verifying and reproducing technical facts in order to develop logical recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain issues list and conference calls with customers and account contacts to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Participate and deliver job related training.
  • Define and document technical best practices.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors' degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering) required;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technical support engineer, escalation team preferred.
  • Superb troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage stressful customer situations and customer expectations.
  • Ability to acquire and apply new technical knowledge quickly and teach others.
  • Outstanding time management, account management and customer service skills.
  • Experience with Sales Performance and other Business Intelligence applications preferred.
  • Understand the On-Demand business solution space.
  • Expert in SQL & XML. MDX, HTML, Java, Eclipse also preferred.
